Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes! Most of our visits happen right at your kitchen table. We also offer remote support by phone for smaller issues and can take your machine with us back to the office for larger or more lengthy projects. Each visit and service is unique and tailored to your needs and comfort.
-
Not at all. We explain everything in plain language and you are welcome to ask as many questions as you would like. Some customers will use our visits to learn more about their technology while others just want us to fix their problem. We will work with your comfort level, whatever it is.
-
Visits can be long or short, depending on the issue. Setting up a new television, for example, takes about 1-2 hours, but helping you organize your computer files might take significantly longer, depending on what you’re starting with. Digitizing VHS tapes or photographs will depend on the number of items we’re working on, while some anti-virus programs or other computer tests might take an hour or more just to complete.
We will always give you an estimate before we start, and for longer projects you may have the option for us to take your machine or device back to the shop for more extensive or time intensive repairs.

We are located in South Bend and serve the greater Michiana community. We are happy to travel to you, though we will charge a small surcharge for distances over 10 miles from South Bend.
-
Absolutely! Many of our clients are adult children looking after a parent’s technology from out of town. Call, text, or email us to describe the issue and we will handle the visit and keep you in the loop afterward.
-
When you call, text, or email us with a problem, we will follow up with you to listen to your concerns and start to make a plan. We will figure out what works best for you and for the problem. We pride ourselves on in-home service and many problems can be solved right at your kitchen table, or at your computer desk, or in your living room or home office. For issues that will take a bit more in-depth diagnosis or repair, or for those that will take longer, we would be happy to bring your device or machine back to our office if appropriate, and then deliver it again once the problem is solved.
For in-home, on-site support, you can expect patience, sincere concern for your frustrations, and a clear, plain language explanation of our proposed solution.
-
We will always tell you honestly if something isn’t worth fixing, or if the problem is outside of our scope of work. We will help you think through whether a repair or a new device makes more sense, and if you decide to purchase a new device, we will give our honest opinion about what options are best for you. More expensive is not always better!
Depending on the kind of problem you have, we might not be the right resources to fix it. If that’s the case, we will guide you to reputable local companies that specialize in the kinds of issues that you are having. We want to help you solve the problem, no matter what.

Our pricing model may be found here.
We believe in fair, transparent pricing. No hidden fees, no pressure to buy something you don't need, just honest help at a fair price.
That said, some problems are easy to solve, others are more complicated. For some services we charge a flat rate, while for others we will work by the hour. Rest assured that we will always give you an estimate before we begin a job.
